I have really enjoyed the first two episodes.
It doesnt bother me if there are character dying etc as long as its for a good reason in moving the story forward, and from the authors point of view it probably makes it more interesting as freshens up the work.

Then many BL books are perfect for you, almost none of heroes never die. Know its harsh to say, but if you cant accept loss in books how you do it in real?

I agree though was shock to me when certain persons that i had gotten to like to, passed away. Some sudden very sudden, some not so much. But thats whats great after reading these books, they dont seem too unrealistic and people are really vulnerable to all events surrounding them.

Best series though i ever read, not even epic Horus Heresy cant top this in terms of interaction, complications and differences between all characters.

Now one or two characters you've gotten attached to for dramatic effect... yes thats fair enough. But pretty much every second character? That just overkill. Add that to how poorly the surviving character are treated... It just didn't add up to something that compelled me to want to keep reading it.

Yeah that is how I felt about them. I understand that it was done to show a more gritty, realistic look at medieval politics and the plots and actions people took in that day and age but GrizBe is right, Martin takes it too far in the books. That show is going to be rotating cast members like a hotel door.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

Tyrion is great character, you will yet such much of him. Some people like Jon Snow, and while I can't say he s bad character, he is too boring to me.

I m pretty happy with the show for now, it can't completely translate all little details which are awesome to screen, but it's good adaptation.

I've never read the books so I don't know how it will pan out. But the second episode just seemed to go between the strange blonde woman having sex with the tribal bloke and Sean beans on-screen kids acting really badly. It just doesn't seem to fit together very well at the moment.

The world it's set in does look amazing and the show seems to have potential, so I'll keep watching for now...

i did love the scene where Bean and Addy are happy chatting and Sean mentions that the Dothraki can't invade unless they cross the sea.......has he never heard of boats?
That just seemed bloody stupid comment to make to me but apart from that good so far....ep 3 tonight woohoo!

Simple answer: Dothraki hate boats.

That and they have to literally get hundreds even thousand of boats to ferry their troops in. And then come logistical nightmare.

Series is shaping up real nicely, some new characters very important to story were introduced on episode 3. Was nice to see Pycelle, Littlefinger, Varys, Renly, Mormont, Barrestan, Aemon, Alliser, members of Night's watch, Yoren and Syrio who nailed final scene on this episode. Mayor Carcetti playing Petyr Baelish aka Littlefinger seems perfect for the role.

My favourite characters of all are Tyrion, Arya and Jon. Arya has most gruelling story arcs in book.
