Actually there is a Thundercats being done I believe.

But I was also a huge fan of the TSR Dragonlance books by Margaret Weis and Tracy Hickman. I was very partial to Dragons of Autumn Twilight, Dragons of Winter Night and Dragons of Spring Dawning.
Yeah the Dragonlance saga would be an awesome thing to see.

For me though, the book series I would most dearly love to see made into a movie series is the Wheel of Time by Robert Jordan. 12 or 13 books so far with the final one coming this year and just the most outstanding series of books I have ever read.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

As much as I like Sandman, i don't think it can be easily made into movie. Boys on the other hands can be done, but I don't think they will ever make it. Too violent, perverse, politically incorrect etc for audience. And i wouldn't want to watch washed down version.

I would like to see good series about Conan The Cimmerian. I had high hopes for this new movie, but I lost all hope when I saw premise about revenge of the village and father. Again. The old Arnold movie is fun, but it doesn't have anything in common with Howard's Conan, bar the few names. It's so fucking easy to do, just stay true to original stories and look for inspiration in Dark Horse's Conan comics, they are great adaptation of Howards' work.

As with American Gods Sandman would work better as HBO series; Carnivale for instance was very dark in places and done very well (I know sandman darker but still)

Re: Gaiman adaptations, any of you seen the BBC adaptation of 'Neverwhere'; despite budget limitations was very well done

never mind films i think they should commit more comics to the small screen instead of just continualy rehashing the x-men, the hulk, iron man, fantastic 4 and bat man.

We can hope, it looks like negotiations at the moment.
