I was def looking forward to Social Network winning. I was really surprised Mark Zuckerburgh didn't win best actor.

The social network got the nod only because it has to do with facebook, and the Oscars want to make themselves appeal to a younger audience.

I was happy with The Kings Speech getting best picture I felt it was a great piece of film though I enjoyed The Fighter more. Everyone in that film did an amazing job and I really thought Colin Firth deserved the Oscar for best actor.

I was upset that Christian Bale got the Best supporting actor as opposed to Geoffrey Rush though. I felt that he only got it because his character was supposed to be much "louder" then the main character of The Fighter. It seems easy to put on a stand out performance when your main actor is ment to play a reserved, quiet character.

Most other awards seemed fairly spot on. Melissa Leo and Natalie Portman did excellent work and Tom Hooper's work on the Kings Speech was excellent.

All in all it was a pretty predictable award show

Do you have any proof for either of those statements, or are you just guessing?

I'm glad bale got best supporting, but rush was easily as good as bale and firth.

Did anyone notice that James Franco was high out of his mind?

The statement about the Social Network is my own opinion, but the Oscars wanting to appeal to a younger audience is something they have been working towards for a few years. It's the main reason they selected James Franco and Ann Hathaway as hosts. EW has been talking about that for a while.

My future wife won best actress. It would have been funny if Jar Jar Binks started jumping out and acting gay and stuff. But no... we got the stupid and not funny jokes.

I did... Maybe he hung out with Cheech and Chong before the show.
