Default Hawaii five-0

Looking good so far. Another nice and fluffy cop show that's more about looking good than being realistic. However this is not always a bad thing. There seems to be a good chemistry between the actors, and Grace Park is very easy on the eye. Only negative is that it comes across as an NCIS:LA clone. But, again, not necesarily a bad thing.

My wife loves the show (Dan-o)... me... eh, another cop show. I liked the original better. At least its still filmed in Hawaii (I think).

Could not be arsed to watch half an episode of it. Yea, it was good, but not to my liking. I prefer Detroit 1-8-7 over it, any day, anywhere.

I realize I am necro-ing this thread, but I do want to talk about the show and from what I understand as long as I'm adding to the content it's all good?

I know it sounds odd since I live in Hawaii, but I was prepared to hate the show the moment I heard it was being created. I've seen the original (due mostly to my mom who loved the original--it still re-runs on a local station).

I can confirm that it is filmed in Hawaii. All of those locations are real--with the exception of the 5-O HQ. The old Honolulu Advertiser Building was gutted and converted into the show's soundstage and interior sets (like Dan-o's apartment).

I got sucked in by the alternate version of Hawaii (there is no traffic and we don't have any crimes like that at all--no serial killers, no military-style armed robberies, well, okay, we do have human trafficking, but those do tend to get broken up on a regular basis).

I have to admit, it's become a bit of a guilty pleasure.
