There's an 8th book coming out that apparently takes place between Wizard and Glass (my favourite book of the series) and Wolves of the Calla.

When I was a young boy, I dreamed of being a baseball...

It's not really a part of the Dark Tower series of books- there is an '8th' story but it's a short story set before the first novel.

There's also the graphic novels which are set around the time of Roland's first Ka-tet, which is fills out the events of Wizard and Glass and afterwards- I presume that's what you're thinking of rather than a full length novel.

I'm not talking about The Little Sisters of Eluria, which is the short story you're thinking of. I was referring to this:

I didn't like comics that much btw, but info about setting and history was good.

I don't see reason for this new book, but I will read it ofc.

Hmm, well there's been no news on this potential book since Nov. 2009 but good find nonetheless.

It was confirmed a week or two ago that Academy award winning actor Javier Bardem will be playing Roland Deschain in the film adaption and the tv series. Definitely gotten themselves a good actor for this role.

He's definitely a good choice. I wonder if they'll make him wear contacts?

Good old Javier, a fucking brilliant actor, perfect for the role. These are the best books i have ever read, the gunslinger and the Wastelands being my personal favourites, but i do also like the Wolves of the Calla. I am in the all movie, fuck the TV series camp, unless they do a fantastic series like game of thrones. This needs to be done right, i would have liked christopher nolan to do it, he gave the batman movies a great feel, and i think that same technique would be applied nicely to the Dark tower. If they make these movies right, they could be the best films ever made.

And yes, he needs to have Roland's piercing blue eyes
