Default Stargate Extinction?

Has anyone heard any news on the subject? I can't seem to find anything concrete, but I am worried that I will never have an ending to one of my favorite shows.

No, extinction was the movie that was suppose to end the SGA story line. I am honestly glad to see SGU go, it was a crap show and it wasn't Stargate.

You've probably seen this already, but it doesn't look too hopeful.

glad SG:U has been cancelled, it really was shite and lacked everything the other two series had that made them Stargate

From what i read earlier at gateworld
http://www.gateworld.net/movies/05.shtml
There waiting for the green light from MGM to start filming, but need to see what happens with the companys money troubles, but tbasicly this is the latest news

"CURRENT STATUS: The script is complete for the first Stargate Atlantis movie. Executive producers Paul Mullie and Joseph Mallozzi wrote the film and would produce. No filming date has yet been announced, and at last word the cast had not yet been contacted. The movie is on hold primarily due to MGM's own financial straits (the studio is facing the likelihood of sale or bankruptcy restructuring). The softening of the DVD / home video market has also been cited as a factor."

Damn, that isn't the best news I have heard all day. I guess I will keep my fingers crossed for a miracle.

Bit of a leap of logic there. Any new Bond film, considering the success of the two previous ones starring Craig, is pretty much gauranteed to make money. While the production costs would differ greatly, any SG movie made to go straight to dvd would not get the same attention as a global moneymaker.
