Default Tron Legacy

Anyone else seen Tron Legacy?

Absolutely stunning to watch and a brilliant score to go with it, via Daft Punk.

Whats everyone view on it?

No spoilers please, but if you must..... mark them first.

Everyone has a purpose, just so happens mine is more of an example to others of what NOT to do.

I know it's time to go to bed when the last post in every thread has been written by me.

don't see the point in the movie, I didn't like the original, but at the time it was a big thing and it still is today, for its time its looks and idea were original and interesting, this copy isn't, if anything it discards of some of the more original ideas for the sake of looking pretty.

but of course looking pretty is what attracts todays cinema goers, originality is a fading concept of the past, give us more copy+paste movies with bright colours, that will have the hordes of dimwitted fans happy in no time.

also happiness over daft punk doing the soundtrack?.......seriously?...wow, fail.

Listen to the soundtrack. It's sheer brilliance. Of course, people are entitled to argue against this, but then people have always been entitled to be wrong.

Well, even though I am twelve there were a FEW somewhat mildly cool moments. After watching Avatar nothing really wowed me in Tron. I think Avatar sucked though anyway. lol

I think it is really a movie for the people who are old enough to have seen to original, Story wise it is lacking but the whole movie just feels right, at no point during the film did I feel like i was watching actors, I was watching this crazy story about a boy going to some extreme lengths to find his dad.

As far as the Daft punk soundtrack goes, when I said it had a brilliant score by Daft Punk, I meant it, the music is perfect for the film and almost every scene feels right to the music or every piece of music feels right for the scene.

End of the day, you should be going to the cinema to immerse yourself in another world and feel like you are almost there, sharing the journey with the characters not just for explosions, the occasional nipple or awesome effects.

Everyone has a purpose, just so happens mine is more of an example to others of what NOT to do.
