Default WANTED: Movies I can watch with my wife!

My wife and I need a movie to watch at home together. We have different tastes in movies and it can be a real bitch to get her interested in sitting down to watch one with me or vise versa.

She enjoys chic flicks and stuff like Titanic or emotional films. Comedies are also in good with her too. But she isn't into action or sci-fi all that much. Horror is right out. Drama is ok, but she has to be in the right mood to watch that type.

I like Sci-fi, action, war/shooter, comedy, drama and pretty much anything that isn't B-rate or that has ex porn stars trying to be in a "legitimate" film. I can usually watch just about anything as long as the production isn't crap.

The last film we watched together was Prince of Persia. We both didn't like it but for different reasons. She liked Avatar, I hated it. We watched "Snatch" a month or so ago and she actually liked it even with all the gun play and violence and not understanding British terminology at times. True Lies was another one we both enjoyed as it was funny, had good action and the plot/story was good. A bit of everything for both of us.

So, armed with that information, I need you to come up with some ideas as to what to rent. What can you come up with?

Try another Guy Ritchie film. They all seem to be the same but not in a bad way.

Lock stock and two smoking barrels. The same as Snatch just slightly different but still good nonetheless.

From iron, cometh strength. From strength, cometh will. From will, cometh faith. From faith, cometh honour. From honour, cometh iron. This is the Unbreakable Litany, and may it forever be so.

You quoted my post in your sig?

There are a few good comedy movies this year that have an element of romance in them.
Should be able to find them with a quick search.
Here is a few to get you started...

Also, check out The Human Centipede.
Good movie about 2 chicks, combination of comedy, suspense, and romance.
And might get your missus in the mood too. ;)

heh, that list has several movies that aren't out yet, and about 3 films that weren't a huge pile of crap.

Screw you guys i can't let this guy try to watch human centipede with his girl. Don't even watch this movie by yourself its stupid sick and aggrivating. That movie made me want to go on a Vigilante Bad Guy hunt with an alluminum T-ball bat.

Well, it appears you're not just looking for new releases, so I recommend "The Last Of The Mohicans" with Daniel Day Lewis if you haven't seen it with her yet. The theatrical version, not the shit director's cut. This movie has it all for both sexes.

Not knowing what you have already watched makes recommending movies difficult.

I'd go with Inception, Zombieland, Amelie, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo and Run Fatboy Run. Five very different films for you to try if you haven't already.

My opinion is this.

"Either watch what I want or watch me watching it"

Kiera has selected a few films in my history. Every time without fail it is utter shit. The Sandra Bullock film about the fat fuck that plays American Football *yawn* 50 first dates *yawn* Bride War... OMFG...

Movies are made for men.
