Dawn of the dead was better then Night of the living dead.

resident evil 3 was the best out of the 4 films so far.

mad max 2 was a better film but thunderdome was better still.

Some would argue that trilogies and the like don't count, ruling empire strikes back and aliens out. But its not a great argument and can only apply in some cases. So yeah

Aliens - Whilst Alien is still amazing, i prefered Aliens, although it is almost a completely different film and take on the series. Both are arguably as good as each other, but like i said i happened to enjoy Aliens more

Superman 2 - Much better than the original

Terminator 2 - Yeah young John annoyed the shit out of me too, but the film is still amazing and better than the first.

Dark Knight - miles better than Batman Begins.

As said Dawn of the Dead is miles better than Night of the Living Dead

I thought Clear and Present Danger was alot better than Patriot Games aswell.

Back to the Future part 3 was way better then part 2 and some could argue part 1

Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan was better than Star Trek: The Motion Picture.
Likewise, Star Trek (Star Trek XI that is) was far better than Star Trek Nemesis.

Dude, put down the crack pipe! III was utter garbage, II was passable but the original was and is the only one people quote and refer too. You don't hear people say sarcastically, "Yeah, let me get my time traveling steam locomotive..." You hear them refer to the DeLorean when time travel jokes are appropriate.

Hot Shots: Part Duex. The first was funny and the second was even funnier.

My second vote goes for the Lord of the Rings movies. The Fellowship of the Ring was good, The Two Towers was better and The Return of the King was the best out of the three. Then again are they really sequels? They really are just continuations of th story as it is a series and not just individual movies.

Rocky II and Rocky III were actually good sequels and didn't fall too far into the sequel pit of shame.

Most true "sequels" are shit. They take the premise of the first movie that was good or even great and try to force more shit, trash and stuff into a second movie to make it bigger, better and more, but ends up ruining everything. Transformers II, Robocop II, Ghostbusters II and pretty much anything with a 2 or II or pluralized is going to be worthless.

I believe it is time for you to lower your drug utensil of choice, Fellowship was a far better film than Return- Return was a fantastic film don't get me wrong but it still pales in comparison to the tension and dread of the first film.

Agreed, Fellowship is utterly brilliant and better than Return, the death of Boromir, the 'death' of Gandalf, the Breaking of the Fellowship, Amon Sul etc etc all were some of the best moments in the whole trilogy, along with the interaction between the fellowship. Not saying the others didn't have their moments aswell (charge of the Rohirrim) but Fellowship was always my favourite

Agreed with Baron Spikey and Angel of Blood, FotR was better than RotK. I think the main problem with the RotK film is that the ending seems a bit rushed as there's a quite a bit to cover and not enough time to cover it in whereas the book was able to take its time.
