Default Anyone watch Caprica?

I was a massive fan of the re-imagined Battlestar, but haven't felt the urge to watch Caprica at all. Does anyone else watch it, in particular those who have watched BSG. Does it make references that forshadow events in BSG that people who saw it would pick up. And well is it any good really?

I saw the pilot and thought it was.... meh. I have yet to see a second episode or have a desire to do so.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

Caprica made me want to vomit. That's all I really have to say. The change of pace from Battlestar Galactica is a given, but this series never became an acquired taste. I found it t be unecessarily inconsequencial.

Its shit, slow, badly written, terrible sets, terrible CGI, I loved B-*-G, both the original and the new one, but it was pretty clear that caprica got no budget to speak of and if my wife's calculation are correct they get the time line wrong too.
Honestly avoid it, all it did for me was taint my memory of the B-*-G.

I've watched it right through but only because Eric Stoltz is awesome.

The actual story is shit, halfway through season 3 of BG they realised fans liked the real world themes so they went with it and created a shit show.

Frankly its arse, but it's another shit show to add to the list. I watch every SciFi show there is no matter how lame it is.

I watched the whole way through the first season, and while it wasn't all that great, it was interesting to see where the cylons got their concept of God. It develops the fluff a little, but on the wasn't really necesary.

It just seemed like they wanted to get a few extra paychecks by creating this poorly implemented spin-off. It did the Battlestar franchise a terrible injustice that all but the most hardcore of fanboys are willing to forget.

It could have been a LOT better. Caprica was seemingly created with the false assumption that it would live for multiple seasons with minimal effort.

Caprica has been cancelled.

At least they are letting it finish its season, some shows don't get that. And for any who are disappointed by this, though I doubt there are any people like that here, SyFy has announced 'another' BSG prequel, this one set 10 years into the First Cylon War entitled Battlestar Galactica: Blood and Chrome, revolving around a young William Adama. - The Kabal of Shattered Souls Project Log - Check out Talk Wargaming for reviews by Lord of the Night.
