I read comics aswell, and luckily, my favourite has yet to be majorly wrecked.
Wolverine got a good actor atleast... I think he's fine in the X-men movies... Origins was, as rightfully stated by St. Stella; Was shit.
Daredevil, again, one of my favourites, was quite good, give them that.

But the Hulk movies, spiderman movies, batman movies (Par the Dark Knight - That is a good fucking movie) are all shit.

But I shant hold a grudge, until they ruin deadpool. Then I'll become angry.

+Rep btw Loli, for being a fellow comic book nerd. :3

The guy who wishes he never sold all his warhammer. Haha. Such is life.

Comic book films always annoy me, mostly because studios are too blinded to the idea of what a superhero is, they are afraid to embrace unconventional story lines which would make excellent films.

A lot of the superhero films are pretty shoddy, but i wouldn't say any of them rank as the worse film ever, just very misguided.

Besides, if were going to talk about crap comic book films, LXG should be top of that list every time.

They already ruined him once, if they do it again i'll go on a murderous rampage in the name of Bea Arthur.

I think the problem there is simply that you should look at it as a movie based loosely on a comic book, rather than a strict adaptation. In that sense, I've actually enjoyed quite a few 'comic book movies' that get massive amounts of hate. Sure, I like the comics for Sin City and V for Vendetta more than the movies...but the movies still kick massive amounts of ass.

On a side note...I actually enjoyed League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. There, I said it. I thought it was a fairly clever story with some interesting characters, some decent fight scenes and some frankly excellent bits of dialogue.

As for the very worst movies? Anything on Lifetime. Any of the straight-to-DVD Disney movies. I can't stand chick flicks.

Another quick aside: the best movie with the worst-sounding title would have to be 'The Princess Bride'. Sounds like a sappy chick flick, but is in fact approximately the second-best movie ever filmed.

I agree on the first point, and I also enjoy a vast majority of comic book movies. However a lot of them leave me with a niggling feeling of 'why didn't they use this storyline'. Daredevil is an adequate and enjoyable film, but to me it's always going to be a missed opportunity.

I'm probably horribly bias with LXG, as I love the book, but the poor CGI, mishmash of characters and generic plot didn't help my opinion of the film. I'm glad someone liked it though

100% agreed on Princess Bride, anyone who hasn't seen that film is missing out.

Space Truckers, Paranormal Activity, Elektra, Hot Tub Time Machine, and one that may cause derision, Shutter Island. It's the worst film I've seen this year anyway.

KF's Journey Through His Plastic Crack Addiction. 40k, Flames of War, Bolt Action, and more.
