I thought Eccleston was my favourite, but Tennant really grew on me.

The new Doctor has a weird shaped head... and looks like an utter tool. However I reserve judgement until I actually see an episode or two with him in it.

90% of people think they are above average.

Statistically Improbable. Psychologically Inevitable.

From what I've seen so far, he's going to be very good. Has some of the manic energy that Troughton brought to the role, coupled with Tom Baker's alien eccentricity (fish in custard?!) and Silvester McCoy's superhuman authority. How he'll settle into the role remains to be seen, of course, but the portents are hopeful.

With Moffat at the helm the series can't be *bad,* and IMO the first episode was a good opener - given that he had to deal with a newly regenerated doctor and introduce a new companion, not to mention a complete remodel of the Tardis set, he pulled it off well. However, Moffat being Moffat I would recommend watching last weeks before you see tomorrow's episode (without giving any of the plot away, I imagine there will be a few too many huh? moments if not)

what bigs me is apparently they replaced his screwdriver too!

Supposedly the original gets destroyed in one of the new episodes

So how does he give it to what's her face from the library episodes in the future?

Discontinuity, in a light-hearted time travel series? Unforgivable!

Possibly not Gal; he gives her his sonic screwdriver but its never stated that its the same one used by the tenth doctor (I think). Speaking of the eleventh doctor and River Song, not sure if its episode four, five, or six of this season but he is supposed to meet her at some point.

Given that his current companion may make the choice to leave the doctor, we may in fact be seeing Song as his companion. (I doubt it, but you never know.)

While I do think Tennant was good, after one episode how can you even make the judgment? I mean at least give him two or three episodes before deciding a previous doctor is better.

So far he's not been bad to be honest, I certainly think it was better than some of Tennant's episodes
