This movie is going to be just for a core audience people might see this as a kick ass action movie but who knows. They made a movie for the Dragonlance series see were that led.

I agree, low budget + CGI = FAIL

If it looked as good as the DOW intro movie, now that would be good, but sadly it wont be.

If theyd just plow some money into this and make a good live action, standalone film that didnt rely on the audience being familiar with the fluff they could make a breakthrough film that would do quite well at the box office as well as satisfying w40k fans.

The franchise would then make so much money from their inevitable trilogy and spin-offs they could lower the damn price of the models a few quid.

In fact, even if they did make a rubbish ott hollywood special fx failfest and raked the money in, i wouldnt mind as long as they lowered the store prices for models

I wonder how much GW will charge to let you purchase the DVD?, I open the bid at £50, I also bet it will be extremely limited release, available from the online store only and only be available to people who spend at least £100 on marines and promise to paint them blue.

you'll also have to enter you credit card details on the disk to watch it, and each time you watch it GW will charge £50.

of course thats just a safe estimate, expect a price range 2-3x more

I can't believe how negative people are being in this thread, actually across the whole boards regarding ANYTHING Games workshop try to put out.

There is a real 'us versus them' attitude here.

Anyway.... I nearly shit when I saw the DOW & DOW II intros. I just want more of that. I think it will be similar CGI with some motion capturing probably. It wont be costly at all (for GW) compared to other similar in effect films.

I'm stoked.
