Default Brick? WTF?

Don't get me wrong, I like the movie, but who talks this way? I can get about one out of five of the words the kids are saying. Just a sign of my age, I guess. WhoTF TALKS THIS WAY?

This feels like a cult movie, I can feel it.

Harmlessly passing your time in the grassland away;
Only dimly aware of a certain unease in the air.
You better watch out
There may be dogs about
I've looked over Jordan, and I have seen
Things are not what they seem.

No idea but I'll watch it this weekend and see what you're talking about.

It's already a cult movie, it's bloody brilliant and it's in the bargain bin at your local supermarkets

The film is based upon pulp fiction and film noir, it's the classic noir detective story, but set in a high school.

The language is very odd, but this is a nod towards to the same type of slang that was used in these kinds of stories. It sounds rediculous, but it adds to the intrigue of the underworld and those who lurk within.

If you read any of the Marlowe stuff by Raymond Chandler you'll see what i mean, and you really should as it's brilliant readiing

Nice. You're quite a pill. I'm gonna take a powder now. Whatever that means!

You won't regret it, I'm sure.
