Default Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

I have liked the Harry Potter series from the books, all of them had interesting twists and ironies, but the movies were not so well developed. The first three were good (third one had a horrible ending), but the other two had a bit of a lackluster presentation.

However, I have one word to say about Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince:

AWFUL!!

It had to be the most awful movie I've seen this year. The plot was completely random, and everything was crushed together into 2 1/2 hours of complete shit. They even took out a part of the book where the three were investigating who the Half-Ass Prince was (It's the main title here!!!).

My personal opinion, don't waste your time with it. Don't see it, buy it, rent it, or even download it. To me, it was complete shit, which was a shame too...

I have yet to go see it, but can it really be that horrible? I mean, yeah they skipped a lot in the previous films as well, but to skip such a huge part of the story-line? That would be like Warhammer 40k without the Horus Heresy. I plan to view it this coming saturday, so if nobody else chimes in, I'll let you know my thoughts.

The day you met me may have been the most life-changing day of your life. For me, it was simply tuesday.

I loved it, thought it was basically perfect. Film of the year so far, narrowly edging out Star Trek.

While I am not going to say it was awful, it was a bit underwhelming, especially since I have already read all the books and half blood prince is my favorite.

My brother led me to believe that it was epic, but it missed a lot of points that made the Half Blood Prince one of the better books. I won't pick them out, in case people who haven't seen it yet read this, but I had really hoped for a lot more.

In any case, Danny Radcliffe was hilarious at Felix potion bit.

From your other film reviews, I certainly didn't expect that.

Unless this is an elborate ruse to lure people into watchin a bad film so they're as depressed as you have become

No, I wouldn't say it was a bad film. I'll agree that is was Underwhelming, that word seems a perfect description.

Oh and try not to watch it if there's kids present, they'll laugh at bits that just aren't funny. Often.

Yeah, I liked that part. Talking about the spider's fangs and doing that noise with his tongue.

Pretty hard to actually.

It wasn't THAT bad I guess, but it had to be pretty bad if my dad fell asleep in the movie theater (which he never did before)....

I have to see it still but I find that movies based on books are never as good as we want them to be. I am willing to bet that if you hadn't read the book, you would have thought the movie was great.

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

The only problem I had with it was that the sixth was my favorite book in the series, so I went in hoping it would be a good movie.

It wasn't horrible, it just wasn't good.

I read the books, and loved them. I still love the movie, because it's the best adaptation possible. They did a great job with a difficult problem. Sure it has its issues, but in general, i think its wonderuflly done.
