Default star trek xi sequel ideas ?

ok well after seeing startrek xi today (it was awesome btw go see it if you have the chance!!!!!!!!)
and after seeing it i pondered that the ending is completely open to a sequel

to get this started im gonna post an idea i had
and yes
IT INVOLVES THE BORG
so the story is
its a year after star trek xi and basiccally it involves a scientist who discovers a small remanant of the narenda (spoiler) (its hybrid romulan, borg tech ) which managed to not be destroyed by the black hole or the warp core detonation
so the scientist detects the debries and warps to the area to see if anything remained which could be used to further the current technology where they discover a fragment of the narendas hull to which they beam aboard to study but due to the (spoilers) hybrid borg tech used in the narendas hull malfunctioning due to the blast the nano probes begin to start assimilating part of the ship to which the crew become assimilated which leads to the ship assimilating other ships until it assimilates a federation ship which leads to the enterprise crew investigating the ships disappearence (i cant think of any more at the moment but ill edit it if i do )

but anyway any ideas on sequels???

The Borg are fun, but they should be left for TNG to deal with. Now Q, on the other hand...

Oh lord... leave the Borg out of it for awhile, at least...

I'd second the Klingon vote; Perhaps set up the whole Klingon/Federation war (As in what really started the hostilities)?

how about a khan movie?
say a federation ship (lets call it the reliant) finds an old ship in space that has a group of people in hibernation, the leader manages a coop (that if you remember he fails to pull off against the enterprise in space seed). While Khan is taking over the ship, you can explore the enterprise crew's character development. Eventually the enterprise is called on to take care of business. Que amazing space battle.

Nice idea BUT the whole idea of the Wrath of Khan was based on what happened in the original series' episode. With this recent "re-imagining", they tossed out most if not all of the "classic" mythology. KirK vs. Khan wouldn't have the same gravitas without the backstory...

Yep, the recent film has now erased the history of ALL the other films. They are free to re-invision all the relations between races however they wish.

I think the next film should have a vulkan as the baddy; he could link up with the romulans and try to get revenge on Kirk as he sees him as responsible for the events in the film (Kirk/Spock are always responsible for ruining someone's life...).
Mostly though I dont care... the cast of this one was awesome, the story was ok and the special effects were fantastic, if they do the same with the next I'll be happy.

yeah i understand that, time-wise this most recent movie takes place before the space seed episode, my idea is an epic re-imagining of the khan/kirk meeting.
