saw it today and i absolutely loved every minute of it. i teared up a bit in the beginning. I got goosebumps quite a few times during the movie from the performances of the actors, especially the first scene where Bones is introduced. As a kid that grew up loving Kirk and watching the original generation, this movie was quite the treat. i give it two big thumbs up.

Two words to sum up my opinion of this movie: FUCKING AWESOME!!!!!!!!!

one thing I want is the ability to split my fire everywhere, it makes no sense that a squad of 10 guard or marines or whatever all have to fire at 1 target with everything, is the guy with the lascannon not smart enough to realize maybe he would be better off firing at the massive tank looming overhead instead of the little man no bigger than a squat running at him, or is that far too complex for the 10yr olds?

top class movie, loved every second, im not a trekkie fan at all(star wars child) but really enjoyed this film and its one of only 5 films i will go to the cinema to see for a second time.
It was really epic, funny, great plot, great acting and cast and seriously great special effects.
Plus loads of nods to the previous incarnations of trek ,anyone spot the tribble?

plus simon pegg was hilarious and now has to eat his own words as he said that all odd number trek films were shite.

HUGE BITZ RESTOCK NOW ON

Well like everyone else it seems I loved the film despite hating the TV/Old Films. I loved watching Kirk and Spock squaring off then eventually becoming friends of sorts. My only problem was Scotty/Pegg, they tried to make the character funny and it just didn't work for me, the humour was predictable and really not funny. The best funny character was the Russian, he was great.

Do not disallusion yourself brothers, today we die, our bodies broken and our souls shattered, we will be remembered as corpses on a battlefield.Raise hell my brothers for one day our great Father will hear of our struggle, and he will be honoured to call us his Sons. I saw it yesterday and I thought it was pretty good. I have never watch any Star Trek before, not the TV show or Movies.
So as a stand alone Sci-fi movie I thought it was ok. I enjoyed the story, actors and action scenes.
I would give it a 7/10, not sure I would watch it again and its not going to make me watch the TV series but still a good solid movie.
