Pretty much anything by Ghibli, only film so far of theirs which I haven't really rated was Tales of Earthsea. Although I still a few more to collect yet. Pom Poko wasn't stella either, but it wasn't too bad. However Princess Monoke, Spirited Away, Howls Moving Castle, Whispers of the Heart, My Neightbour Toturo, The Cat Returns, Grave of the Fireflies, Kiki's Delivery Service and Nausica, valley of Wind have all been brillliant.

I also like Ghost in the Shell, Urotsukidoji (to a degree, basically I like the story, especially the second, just a shame they filter it down with too much poorly animated sex, remove/reduce that and through in some extra action and its potentially an excellent story.) Cowboy beebop has its moments, and the one Bleach I've seen was really good, Oh and Dominion Tank Police always raised a laugh.

Most of the rest has been okay but not good enough to rate, and the most famous one according to non Anime fans anyway, Akira, to me is boring.

Hellsing
Naruto
Cowboy Bebop
Stand alone complex
...And others
Ps. I hate Afro samurai so much it makes me physically ill to watch it just because it tries way to hard to make the main character look intense/Cool. Other then my incredible hated for the one dimensional shit of a anti hero afro. I got to say the fight scenes where vary eye catching, and plot aside said fights are the real draw of the show anyway.

I love the first season of Death Note, but not the second. Honestly, Mello and Near are an insult to both L and Light.
I like also the Tsukihime anime: it exists, I played the visual novel and I know the anime is not respectuous of the original work, but just the opening and the music are sufficient for me, plus the episode 6 (OMG, I laughed so hard during this episode).
