All I know is that John Malkavich (sp?) would have to be in there somewhere, and the dude from Troy that played Agamemnon's brother would be a good Russ. I put together a list somewhere, but it got thrown away. I'm afraid for the most part you'd have to go with rather largely unknown actors, as egos and such would erupt with a large cast of high profile actors. Wilhem Defoe would probably be a good Night Haunter or Lorgar. Forrest Whitaker could probably pull off Vulkan. Gulliman and Dorn would have to have someone large in stature and with the characteristic (hero) square jaw.

People I'd rather not see in the movie?

Bradd Pitt
George Clooney
Any comedy actor
Samuel L. Jackson-He didn't do it for Star Wars, he definitely won't make 40k better.

I think I would rather not see a 40k movie be made. It would probably be way, way too long and the audience would be very limited.

Given the ever growing number of books in the Horus Heresy series, a movie or movies would have to miss a hell of a lot, so no flight of the Eisenstein, no backstory for the Emperor's Children, no huge titan vs titan battles, no proper plot behind daddy's boy gone bad.

What you'd end up with would be something like the Star Wars prequels, namely it looks good until you actually go and see it. Add to that the fact that loads of people would be complaining that they'd left this or that bit out and you begin to see the problem.

If you want a 40K movie then your best bet would either be to turn one of the more popular books into a movie, such as storm of iron, or to come up with a completely original story.

If they do decied to make a movie based on the horus heresy then it would have to be done on the same scale as lord of the rings, a couple of hours long for each movie and probably spread over 3 films, again not everybody would be happy as they would have to edit it abit. they would have to have the right ballance of cgi and real special effects and one hell of a hugh budget.

Default The Lion

What about Lion 'El Johnson? I think Mr. T should be The Lion. If they can't get Mr. T to do it, then Christian Bale. For serious, Christian Bale should be The Lion. Then they can have Chuck Norris as Leman Russ and they can have the multiple day battle they both fought and it would be awesome. So very awesome...

Why hasn't anyone mentioned Jason Isaacs as Fulgrim? Or Christian Bale as Konrad?

Since Konrad is basically Batman in Power Armor...without a conscience. The real question with Fulgrim is thus:

That about Jason Isaacs isn't totally Fulgrim? I think that would be a shorter list.

what do you think?
Personally, I'd say Jason Statham should be Torgaddon.
Nick Frost as Karkasy!
