Default Whats your fave ending for a TV Show?

As the title says, whats your favourite ending of a TV Series, the literal final moments of the final episode, be it for one series or ten. I'm not interested if any movies appeared afterwards, or even mini series, but the final moments of that final episode that was written to wrap up the show, which was your fave?

For my choice, it has to be Next Generation, something almost romantic about they way the ended the show at the end of the seventh series. Sorta sumed up the entire point of the show, left them drifting further out into space to explore further, while enjoying life and the friends around them.

So, whats yours?

Farewell, Goodbye and Amen: The final and only named episode of M*A*S*H. Very good, funny series that tended to be a social commentary. The entire ten years they had three characters stay on with the same actors/actress. They all did fantastically and the final two hour episode was very well made. It is still the highest rated event on television, bar none.

That which doesn't kill me has made a tactical mistake.

Supernatural Season 1 ended rather dramatically (I was pissed off, I needed to see the next series!).

Very end of the last season of Freinds was also good.

Regards,
Jake.

Aye thats a good one as well, I wasn't the biggest friends fan, but it had its moments, I think I watched a fair bit of the last two series, but yes I really liked that little bit at the end.

I was gonna say the last episode of Blackadder Goes Forth; but good call on the MASH episode there.

I do have odd problems with Blackadder, beside the obvious (that it was written by Ben Elton and Richard Curtis), but I think that the last few minutes were exceptionally poignant.

Somehow I just knew you were going to beat me to the punch there Orc!
Blackadder Goes Forth's end was an amazing and, as you so rightly said, poignant way of showing just how bloody stupid wars are.

The ending of "The Prisoner" it was its about this British Spy that gets trapped in a little homey town on an island which in the beginning seems like a great retirement but that doesn't last long.

Anyway the ending gets all psychedelic and nonsensical in his last attempt to get out. Like there's colors and random people getting shot and a band playing in the action and its just great.

Is fancy bread in the heart or in the head
