Default Favorite War Movie?

What's your guys' favorite war movie you've ever seen? Braveheart? Saving Private Ryan? The Patriot? Anything with war goes (except the Thin Red Line, that was so lame!!) Well, ok, maybe the Thin Red Line, if you liked it. For me, I can't exactly decide between We were Soldiers or Saving Private Ryan. I don't think Gladiator counts, does it? I mean, 15 minutes of Romans kicking the Germanic tribes' butts doesn't seem much of a war movie.

Man i thought WE were soldiers sucked something aweful.

Erm, cant believe noone has mentioned Full Metal Jacket or Hamburger Hill or The Deer Hunter , or any 'Nam ones yet for that matter. Not platoon though, thats well overrated.

Also awesome are Das Boot, Stalingrad, Downfall, Soldiers of Orange, Zulu, off the top of my head.

i didn't really like 300. i dunno why, it was just too exaggerated. i like more life like movies like saving private ryan, not like star wars when the "emperor's finest" can't hit the broad side of a barn and the rebel troops can somehow pull out their guns and kill ten stormtroopers without aiming. that's just lame.
