I just did not know if you would have experienced those movies living in the UK
Sorry, but, WHUT? Why would he not experience old films in the UK? Your post confuses me.

Have you ever heard of Elmstree studios... The Shining was filmed there...

Nope never heard of it.

Here is an example. Over the years I have spent quite a bit of time in England, Scotland and Ireland. Been into many restaurants and shops and the equivalent of what we would call a convenience store. In that time I had never heard or seen Irn-Bru until a friend who lives in Scotland mentioned it in a post and I asked about it. So sometimes things that are plain as day to others based on where they live or their experiences may not be so viewable to some.

That is what I meant. It was not meant to be disrespectful or as an implicit slight.

And I learned that obviously Elmstree Studios is in the UK which I did not know.

No worries, just one thing that can get my back up is the American media portrayal of Brits and people believing it, goddam it I see it everywhere even when it isn't there.

Ugly, Victorian, posh accents with bad teeth.

I liken it to the obsolete UK divide stereotype of Northerners with flat caps and whippets and Southerners with top hats, monocles and canes. IE As in completely false.

You only just had Iron Bru! Wow you missed out, Iron Bru bars were even better

But sadly no longer made...
