Default Warm Bodies

a zombie movie where a zombie learns how to be human again after falling in love with one of his victims. this actually looks funny and the story seems kinda sweet

Haha that looks fun actually. Some good quality actors in there, an original direction for a zombie movie to go in as well. It's good to see Nicholas Holt not falling into the trap of doing generic rom-coms as well.

Hmm...it's like nothing I've ever seen, I'll probably watch it when it comes out. Even if it turns out to be bad, it's still pretty innovative as far as I know.

When Simon Pegg and Nick Frost pushed the Zombie film into the mainstream I was scared this would happen and now it has.
For years films by Romero and Fulci were underground gems that few really appreciated, zombies were low budget cult icons, they scared the crap out of me but I loved them.

Now they're romantic leads?

It may well be a good film but for some reason I feel cheated, what was once something I found terrifying is now just a mainstream giggle, I'm not impressed.

I blame Twilight for this and I'll never forgive them

i think your blaming the wrong people, Danny boyle in 2002 is the person who i think is more responsible for making zombies main stream with 28 days later.

in that case why don't we just blame Romero?

You're probably right but I'm one of the stubborn gits who flat out refuses to acknowledge that 28 Days Later is a zombie film, if they don't require a head shot to kill and they can run, they're not zombies.

Its a great film, just not a zombie film (in my opinion that is).

@Warlord_Winters, Romero may be the godfather of the modern zombie film but he in no way brought it to the mainstream, his films were and still are very firmly rooted in the low budget, cult horror bracket.

28 days seemed to be more about the rage virus plot than actual zombies
