About time, love what george has done, but he needed to hand it over to new blood and i have to say love or hate disney you cant argue with there track record when it comes to producing movoes for the family.

Pirates of the Caribbean is Disney and in all honesty I never knew that when I first saw it and it didn't feel disney to me.

This really could be a good thing.

Disney has proven themselves capable of making movies that appeal to audiences of all ages and episode 7 will undoubtedly have the advantage of a script (which I thought the prequels to be lacking), but I can't help but feel that the story Lucas set out to tell has been told in full.

Finished: Too Much Love Will Kill You (working title), an original fiction novel. Working on: Second draft of Too Much Love, and the first draft of A Winter's Tale (working title).

Tron was disney (original and re-make). Flight of the navigator. War Games was too (I think, it doesn't seem to have an IMDB page! ). Can't be a bad thing having more Star Wars films being made, if they turn out rubbish then it's simple enough not to watch them, and if they're good (which is a distinct possibillity) then yay. Disney don't really make that many bad films, I'd suggest that what might happen is that a good quality film is made for modern audiences, ie. short on length, lots of graphics less on plot etc. Now that's something that might dissapoint traditionalists (like me with the tron remake, a very shiny film but really not in the least bit challenging. It was just begging for some exploration into online identity themes).

That's me breathing fire in my avatar, my aim was a bit off to start but i got all those orks in the end!

Also should be noted, Disney have got hold of Lucasfilm, which also means Indy films, also disney might be willing to throw some money at the shelved star wars tv series, after all they have there own tv channels and have much better links with TV than lucas ever did.
