Default Amazing Spiderman, Anyone seen it yet?

So, has anyone seen it yet? Is it any good? Worth seeing? I haven't heard negative things about this so far, and I might be going to see this either tommorow or next weekend, depending on whether I can be arsed to go into town or not. I'm already confident that it's going to be better than the original trilogy, which I didn't like at all (the first one was the only one that I liked a bit), but what are your thoughts on it? And please, not spoilers.

I loved this.

There was plenty of character development and it was handled well enough so as to not make the movie dull. Cocky Peter Parker is better than Meek Peter Parker.

And the best Stan Lee cameo to date.

Also... Gwen Stacey.

It only opens here on the 12th, but I definitely plan on watching it. After the horrendous shitfest that was Spiderman 3 I need my faith restored in Spiderman films.

The human appendix. Proof of a higher power. A divine kill switch so to speak.

No one really likes a smartass, but people tend to like a dumbass even less.

It's definitely worth watching. The plot, scripting and action scenes are not much of a jump from the raimi films (which i do like) but the casting and characters make this really enjoyable.

The storyline changes are very subtle (unlike the trailers which were touting 'THE UNTOLD STORY OF SPIDERMAN') but they are all good decisions.

What don't you like about the original films? I can understand peoples hate for 3, and 1 isn't a masterpiece, but spiderman 2 is awesome.

I liked it, but I really didn't see the need to go back to the origin story. I'd say 99% of the people seeing it already know it.

Finished: Too Much Love Will Kill You (working title), an original fiction novel. Working on: Second draft of Too Much Love, and the first draft of A Winter's Tale (working title).

But yes, very good movie, by far the best Spider Man movie so far. The only thing I didn't like was the scene with the cranes...

Odd choice of scene to dislike. Why?

The thing that niggled at me was this: Sure, the artificial steel web is indestructible. Seems legit. But what about the little plastic things he uses to shoot it from his wrists? Are those indestructible too?

They must be. After all he did...

When it showed them all turning to create a path it was just to much. I mean it was quite convenient that all the cranes made a perfect path.

I wasn't a fan of the crane scene either. It's very similar to the scenes in 1&2 which felt awkward and unnecessary.
