I am also very excited but I just don't know about Hawkeye's actor. There wasn't much of him in Thor but he just doesn't look the part to me.

The story is going to be shit, like most Hollywood these days, but I'm not above paying for awesome action and seeing several mega-heroes kicking ass in one movie.

Yeah Jeremy Renner is probably one of the best actors in the whole film, with Hawkeye being the lamest Avenger by a long way they'll need some serious effort to make him compete with the big boys which is why I think they've gone with him.

It seems like they are going to try and use the "Ultimate's" version of Hawkeye for the film, as his costume matches up almost 100% with what he wears in the first 2 comic arcs.

If that's true, expect Hawkeye to not be the lame joker in purple he was in the comic books, but a Special Ops/Assassin who uses a bow because he prefers it.

That being said, I'm looking forward to the movie. I'm eager to see how Joss made this work.

I agree, he was good in the Hurt Locker, which is a fucking good film.

The only character I'm not sure about is Thor - I just find him cheesy and unconvincing. But hey that's just me, and I'll definitely be going to see this.
