You should complain to your cinema managers and try to get them to show at least 1 2D show. TBH they are probably losing money if they are not offering a 2D option, especially on family films.

What is your medical condition? Do you know what technology your theater use for 3D? There are glasses available which are polarized to stop the image appearing in 3D, and display a 2D image. If you PM me the info i'll see if i can help at all.

Well, if the Hobbit is only offered in 3D, I'll definately be railing against the theater!

My problem is, I've suffered 8 concussions, a couple of them being quite severe. (I've lost consiousness twice, and have little memory of what actually happened)
I also have lost most of my short term memory. You can tell me 5 different words, ask me a few minutes later what those words were and if I'm lucky I can repeat back a couple at most.

My doctor has told me that because of my symptoms, I should never drive and I should definately stay the hell away from any 3D movies/video games because even the medical community has no freaking clue what it could do! It could potentially act like another hit to my head, simply because I've had so many concussions.

I guess untill they invent a version that's fully tested & known to be 100% safe for headcases like me, I'll just have to miss out on the fun...
Funny thing is, my mum can't see anything 3D either, because she's epileptic!

Ouch, sorry to hear that mate

There's a pretty simple way you can filter a 2D image with 2 pairs of specs for people who have issues with depth perception, but in your case i couldn't guarantee anything even if it was the right technology.

If they don't listen to your complaints make sure to try and get an accessibility group involved. There are plenty in the UK who have really helped to push forward audio description and subtitling, and this kind of thing is right up their street.

Shit I still haven't watched BS8...

But for me, the aforementioned comic movies and GI Joe. Though without Rachel Nichols... such a shame

Well, I'd say War horse, but thats already out.

I saw it at the new London theatre, and it was truly epic, I hope the film will be just as good.
