All in all, a good line-up. Some cameos by Orlando Bloom. Interesting to see how Martin Freeman will pull off Bilbo, as I havnt seen him in any 'serious' role before. Also intersted to see how Radagast will be represented. He was my favorite of the wizards to paint in the LOTRSBG.

As much as I love Stephen Fry I find it difficult to look past who he is on the tv to the character he's portraying on the big screen.

Don't give me rep, just poke My Bum ... and then give me rep.

Barry Humphries provides the facial capture for the Great Goblin and Rob Kazinsky was playing Fili until he "left for personal reasons" (offical wording).

The film looks amazing, the 3d is going to blow peoples minds, its being integrated in such a way that makes it seem so natural and logical. Not saying there won't be moments where the film show cases it but for the most part its being done tastefully. The casting of the Dwarfs is really bloody good, they'll do the characters justice and all be very separate and identifiable in their own personalities.

Cannot wait to see it, and that's not just because of the stuff I did on it.

Frys a great actor, love him, could watch him all day, i dont think master of lake town will be a massive part in the movie, would be all the cooler if they could get Hugh Lawrie to play opposite him in a cameo or something.

Ten year anniversary of the first movie this year too if memory serves

I thought Leonard Nimoy was voicing Smaugh. Dunno who Benedict Cumberbatch is.

I think Nimoy is no longer able to travel hes getting on a bit and i dont think hes got long left on this mortal coil, Benedict is one of the greatest British actors around, he was in tinker talior soldier spy, with quite a few big hitters and plays a great modern day holmers in the BBC's Sherlock series which is well worth a watch, season 2 is due in a few months, which also stars his good mate Martin freeman(Bilbo) as Watson.
