There's probably already a thread on this somewhere, but I couldn't find it...
I'm one huge movie fan, mainly films of late 1970's up to mid 1990's, most films from then until now have barely caught my attention for more than the first 20 minutes before I get bored and leave the cinema.
I was extremely suspicious when Batman was being touted for a remake back in 2004 for a 2005 release... I was always a fan of the Keaton/Burton Batman...
... but, after burying my dubious side and going to see the first two of Nolan's Batman at the cinema (and also countless times since on DVD, I might add), the third of the rebooted franchise is most certainly the most anticipated movie for me since Pirates At World's End (I knew Pirates 4 was a huge let down when they said they were making it) and before that, Robocop (yes, that far back since I was excited by upcoming cinema).
I'm just hoping that the addition of a badly disguised Selina Kyle as Catwoman, doesn't destroy the overall feel of 'reality' that the first two built so successfully and ends up turning the new look of Batman into a Joel Schumacher copy (ugh, please God,
don't let it happen again).
I'm mostly looking forward to seeing Batpants get a kicking from Bane and am hoping for a decent finale to the story.
The upcoming Superman reboot is another I'm getting all doughy-eyed over.
Superman Returns was, for nostalgia fans, a good film, but Routh, though he did a pretty good job... is no Reeve.
Cavill as the Man Of Steel feels inspired. A great actor who has recarved his body out of what looks like steel laced concrete.
Additions of Russell Crowe as Jor-El fighting Zod on Krypton, The Supe vs Darkseid (rumoured) and, a possible return to form for Kevin Costner as Jonathan Kent all make me clap my hands together and jump up and down while giggling
Just wondered what everyone else is thinking about the third and final part of the new trilogy of the Batman franchise, and, what we all hope to see when The Supe returns to the big screen...
