EDIT: First update: Origins and Background is back. I would like old time followers to comment so I know if it's better or worse than before please Will leave the above message just so people know what's going on, maybe only for 3-4 weeks to makes sure i'm on track. But onwards TO GLORY...again.
"I can hear it. The low rumbling of our impending doom. I can see them. Like a hundred stars falling from the sky. Their wrath. It shall be most terrible. I have witnessed that wrath in Garon. They circled the city after dropping from orbit, picking off the stragglers while making bold flanking manoeuvres to annihilate the larger foes. It was like the hunting of a pack of Wulfenwargs. Why did we stray from the Emperor's light. Heresy isn't worth this. Not worth the fear, not worth the pain. I can only find solace that in my death, redemption is found for my soul...but alas I fear it may be to late. I go know to await my judgement and I pray to the Emperor that their justice is swift."
++ORIGIN AND BACKGROUND++
++FOUNDING FATHERS++
++THE CLEANSING OF MACHARIA VIII++
The origin of the Red Wolves comes from a distressed time for the Imperium. 'The Macharian Conquests' of 995.M40 have come to a halt at the death of Lord Commander Solar Macharius and rivalry and war has broken out amongst his territories. This anarchy reigns for seventy years and is stopped only through the efforts of one hundred Space Marine Chapters, the time became known as 'The Macharian Heresy'. It is during 'The Macharian Heresy' that the founding fathers of the Red Wolves came to note. Being predominately Fleet-based, the Imperial Fists Chapter had the primary role of patrolling the Uhulis and Reductus Sectors of the Segmentum Solar and Segmentum Tempestus. So it was inevitable for the Imperial Fist Battle-Barge 'Imperial Wrath' to come across the world of Macharia VIII in 997.M40. Macharia VIII is situated roughly between the worlds of Pintax and Loriar in the Uhulis Sector. Such was the heresy on the planet that elements of the Word Bearers Chaos Space Marine Legion had manifested itself there from the Chaos Stronghold of Ghorstangrad. The Imperial Fists 1st Company was deployed in full to cleanse the planet's capital of the taint, where it was most concentrated, while elements of the 3rd, 5th and 7th cleansed the other major hubs of the world that contained minor taint, compared to the capital. The 1st Company was deployed into the capital Heliax, split into two forces, one to take the governmental sector and the other the religious sector. Among those split off to cleanse the religious sector were Sternguard Squad Corvus, a highly trained and highly effective close fire fight Veteran unit, led by Veteran-Sergeant Corvus. The force moved through the Heliax Forum, heading through the Manufactorum district towards the Sanctum Imperialis.
The Manufactorum district was full of tight alleys and smog-covered rooftops, making an ambush inevitable. The force came under fire moving through the crew quarters, Chaos Havocs utilising the thick smog and height advantage of the rooftops, to lay down suppressing fire on the Imperial Fists. Unable to continue forward, Devastator Sergeant Harnoth marked the enemies position with his Auspex. A few moments passed, then the incoming sound of jump packs. Assault Squad Nils make short work of the Havocs, with their Chainswords and Bolt Pistols, Sergeant Nils making a decisive kill of the Havoc Champion with his Powerfist. Assault Squad Nils continued across the rooftops, dispatching more Havocs who lay in wait for the ground infantry. Corvus, Harnoth and the remaining force continued on to the Sanctum Imperialis, Squad Harnoth moving off into a position to provided better support fire across the religious plaza. Moving into position at the doors of the Sanctum were three units of Tactical Marines led by Chaplain Capulus. Squad Corvus was taking the rear doors, their main objective to retrieve the 'Liber Honourus Ministorum' that was seated in the chapel. Given the signal the squads moved in. The chapel became nothing more than an butchery. Word Bearers, armed for close combat, were waiting at the front doors to the chapel for a counter attack, charging into the Tactical Marines and Chaplain Capulus. In the centre of the chapel a Word Bearer Sorceror, in tandem with a contingent of Heretics, where in the middle of a ritual to open a Warp Gate. Corvus charged into the chapel, guns up and firing. A member of Corvus grabbed the tome off its pedestal, then back into formation and a smooth withdrawl out of the chapel rear entrance again, sealing the entrance with a strategically placed Krak grenade. Moving back towards the positions for Squads Nils and Harnoth, Corvus witnessed a squad of Chaos Raptors swoop down upon Squad Harnoth from behind, the Raptor's Champion ripping Sergeant Harnoth asunder with it's crackling Lightning Claws. Squad Nils swooped in to rescue Harnoth, getting tied into close combat with the fearsome Chaos combatants, only to be flanked by a unit of slavering Possessed, decimating Squad Nils.
Veteran-Sergeant Corvus radioed into the Imperial Fist command post in the Heliax Forum, ordering a request for a Orbital Bombardment from the 'Imperial Wrath' on an incoming position. Using an Auspex, Corvus relayed the coordinates to the command post. Then they ran. They charged back into the Manufactorum habitation quarters, winding their way through the industrial sector back towards the forum. Back at the chapel bright blue light beamed down from the clouds, drawing confused Raptors, Possessed, and Word Bearer Marines towards the chapel. Inside the chapel the Sorceror became distracted by the lights just as they vanished. He looked around, then was about to continue the incantation to open the Warp Gate, when the whistling began. The devastation from the orbit-fired artillery was devastating, as the first missile hit the Sorceror was virtually vaporised, along with the Heretics and the butchered corpses of the Imperial Fists, who breached the chapel's front entrance. The missiles hit five blocks from the chapel in a perfect ring, anything living within that circle, wiped from the face of the earth in a blink of an eye. Corvus made it back to the command post, having to fight their way through a number of minor Word Bearer patrols. When the remaining Imperial Fist forces had returned, and the survivors had returned to the 'Imperial Wrath' and Corvus had presented the 'Liber Honourus Ministorum' to the Company Captain, it was decided that the whole of Sternguard Squad Corvus would receive the honour of a 'Laurel of Valour' for 'distinguished valour in the heart of battle despite unfavourable odds'. That was two years into the 'The Macharian Heresy', it still raged for another sixty-eight years, and during this time Squad Corvus became steadily more esteemed within the Imperial Fists.
By the end of 'The Macharian Heresy', the High Lords of Terra had become aware of the need for yet another founding of Space Marine Chapters. And so they decreed that the year 065.M41 would be the year of the 25th Space Marine Chapter Foundings. The order went out to the Chapters to donate geneseed and leaders for these new Chapters. From the Imperial Fists, the now, Captain Corvus of the 7th Company, alongside his Command Squad, formerly Sternguard Squad Corvus, and Apothecary Pliny were donated to the High Lords for the founding. The former-Sternguard was broken up into the Company Captains of the new Chapter, Captain Corvus, becoming Chapter Master Corvus. The new Chapter Master was notified that he must choose a planet to begin recruiting from for his new Marines, and so the little known planet of Bloodfall was chosen, situated in the Uhulis Sector, among a good concentration of Imperial planets, all suitable as recruiting grounds.
After the initial recruitment stage a Fortress-Monastery was setup on Bloodfall, from here other planets in the Uhulis Sector were expanded to in order to gain them as recruiting worlds. The influence of the Bloodfalliens on the Chapter is the most prominent. The Bloodfalliens hold a similar appearance to the Space Wolves, both sharing enlarged canines with their teeth. Whereas for the Space Wolves this is a change which occurs during enhancement to become a Space Marine, for the Bloodfalliens this is a case of genetic adaptation to their environment. This 'wolf-like' appearance alongside their bright red armour earned them the name of the 'Red Wolves'.
++HOMEWORLD++
The prime recruitment world and homeworld of the Red Wolves is the world Bloodfall. Bloodfall is classified as a Death World, due to it's extreme conditions which extremely limit the amount of human activity outside of their Hive complexes. Only the toughest of Bloodfalliens can exit the Hives to hunt, even then it is during the winter months. The temperatures on Bloodfall are extremely high, enough to make a lake boil and evaporate. The main water supplies for Bloodfall come from deep mining into underground ice glaciers, which are melted down for fresh water, and supplies brought in from nearby planets, in bulk, who have naturally occurring springs. Bloodfall is predominately desert sporting a deep red coloured soil similar to that of Mars, during the Age of Man.
++BLOODFALL AERIAL SURVEILANCE PICT. BLOODFALL CLOSEUP SURVEILANCE PICT++
Bloodfall gains vegetation in nooks and caves of Bloodfall where shade and moisture, enough to sport simple plant life but not a human, where is can survive. Bloodfall does sport its own life forms. These coming in the form of the Supervlieg or 'Sandhunter' and the Bisox. The Sandhunter is considered to be the spawn child of a V'run Ostricadon (a carnivorous land-dwelling bird) and a Loriar boaram (a herbivorous boar, territorial and a short temper) to punish the Ancients for offending the Shaman during the Age of Man. Sandhunters move in packs and usually have a pack leader, which is also the territorial leader.
++ORGANISATION AND DOCTRINE++
The organisation of the Red Wolves Chapter is as dictated by the 'Codex Astartes'. There is a Chapter Command, led by the Red Wolves Chapter Master Cato Korus, an Armoury, operated by Forgelord Daidalos, an Apothecarion, operated by Chief Apothecary Vandire, the Fleet Command and the Librarius, led by Chief Librarian Draeg. There is then ten Companies. The 1st Company houses the Veterans of the Chapter, led by Battle-Captain Trajan. The 2nd through to 5th Companies are the 'Battle' Companies. These are the mainstay of the Chapter, the Companies most likely called into combat. They are led by Captain M'kar, Captain Barzano, Captain Raimer and Captain Hedström respectively. The 6th through to 9th Companies are the 'Reserve' Companies. These are used to support the Battle Companies or to act as replacements to casualties from the Battle Companies. They are led by Captain Artor, Captain Kernax, Captain Tomaszewski and Captain Kopinski respectively. The 10th Company is the 'Scout' Company, comprising of the Chapter's Scouts. It is led by Captain Valdström.
While they follow the 'Codex Astartes' some minor adjustments are made to suit the likes of the Chapter. Each Company is specialised to certain types of warfare. The 1st Company specialises in the use of a 'Terminator Assault', using their Tactical Dreadnought, or Terminator, armour to teleport into the midst of the enemy where they can best smite the foe with hammer, claw and fist. The 2nd Company specialises in the use of Rhino and Razorback transports to close with the enemy, before disembarking and using calculated bolter fire to cut down the enemy. Because of this their Company designated Assault Marines have turned down the use of jump packs, instead opting to make use of the Razorback's increased gunfire, before disembarking to finish of the remaining enemy in close combat. The 3rd Company specialises in close combat fighting, this is seen in the displacement of their designated Devastators, instead replaced by additional Assault Marines. Sporting two extra squads of Assault Marines the 3rd Company moves forward in battle, the Company's Tactical squads laying down suppressive fire on the fire, while the Assault Marines move in to wipe out the survivors. The 4th Company specialises in siege warfare, it's designated Assault Marines replaced with additional Devastators. They also sport four Dreadnoughts equipped as Ironclads, who excel in a siege. The Company's Tactical Marines make use of twin-linked lascannon Razorbacks, while also making heaving use of the Vindicator Siege tank and the Predator, in both its Annihilator and Destructor patterns. The 5th Company specialises in 'Drop Pod Assaults', in order to quickly close with the enemy, pouring a hailstorm of bolter fire into the very heart of the enemy. Such is the skill of the 5th Company at these tactics, that two of their designated Tactical squads are replaced by two Veteran Sternguard squads. To continue the pace of their attack, their Assault Marines are inserted by the difficult 'Thunderhawk Insertion' method. The 6th and 7th Reserve Companies focus on the training of Tactical Marines, fielding ten units of Tactical Marines each. The 8th Company focuses on the training of Assault Marines, fielding ten units of Assault Marines. The 9th Company focuses on the training of Devastator Marines, fielding ten units of Devastator Marines. The 10th Company being the Scout Company, specialises in infiltrations and assassinations, of high priority targets.
Some titles and placements are also unique to the Red Wolves. The Armoury usually consists of a 'Master of the Forge' and a set number of Techmarines. The Techmarines are then usually assigned to a Company or force when they are deployed into battle, to aid in battle field vehicular repairs. Within the Red Wolves each company has to it, assigned a Master of the Forge, a Veteran Techmarine of many countless battles. He is permanently assigned to his Company until his duty ends. The title given to the Techmarine in charge of the Armoury is then given as the 'Forgelord'. The Captain of the 1st Company is designated as the 'Battle-Captain' an honour given only to the Captain of the 1st. It is not uncommon for a Company to be put on a Fleet-based 'crusade' to achieve some form of mission or objective. When this occurs the Company Captain of the crusade is titled as 'Commander'. Another notable title and placement within the Red Wolves is the 'Emperor's Champion'. Though far more ingrained into the Doctrines of their cousins, the Black Templars, the tradition of an Emperor's Champion started in their progenitors, the Imperial Fists, with Sigismund, the Imperial Fist's 1st Company Captain during the Horus Heresy and the first Emperor's Champion. Traditionally there is an Emperor's Champion within each Battle Company, this is no less in the Red Wolves. Rising through the ranks of the Chapter the Emperor's Champion is chosen from the elite of the 1st Company. They are then chosen to act in the place of the Company Captain's Command Squad, the position of 'Company Champion' replaced by the Emperor's Champion. Often the Emperor's Champion are those in line to become a part of Chapter Master Korus' Honour Guard. The Honour Guard of the Chapter Master are known as the 'Silent Brethren', chosen from the battlefield by the Chapter Master himself, listed as KIA, and sworn into the Honour Guard. It is said this tradition was picked up through the stories of the Death Guard's Primarch Mortarion's bodyguard the 'Deathshroud', who were inducted in a similar fashion, told to the Imperial Fists by loyal members of the Death Guard during the Horus Heresy. The 'Silent Brethren' do not speak, but are ever vigilant in the guarding of the Master. It is said that the Brethren shall never reveal their identities, even in the face of death, so that only the Chapter Master knows the identities of these diligent warriors.
Company colours for the Red Wolves are as stated by the Codex. 1st Company: White/Silver. 2nd Company: Yellow/Gold. 3rd Company: Red/Saguinite. 4th Company: Green/Adamantine. 5th Company: Black/Ebonite. 6th Company: Orange/Vermillium. 7th Company: Heliotrope/Indigium. 8th Company: Grey/Steel. 9th Company: Blue/Ultramarine. 10th Company: None.
>>NOTE: Apart from the aforementioned disparities, the Red Wolves follow the 'Codex Astartes' to the letter. Their doctrines are that of the Codex and to stray from the Codex is to stray from the Emperor and the Chapter. The Emperor Protects.<<>>Edit made by ++LORD-INQUISITOR ANTONIUS++, tri-quarterly taint and faith check on Chapter.<<>> DESIGNATION: RED WOLVES. STATUS: LOYAL<<
++GENESEED++
The Red Wolves originally gained their geneseed from the Imperial Fists. The defects within this geneseed were therefore passed on to the Red Wolves. There is deficient zygote in the geneseed for the workings of the Sus-an membrane and the Betcher's gland. The Sus-an membrane usually allows the survival from trauma through suspended animation. The Betcher's gland gives the Marine the ability to spit a corrosive poison. However due to the zygote defect, the Red Wolves, like the other successors of the Imperial Fists, cannot use the abilities of these organic implantations.
++RECRUITMENT++
The Red Wolves have many planets within the Uhulis Sector that they use for recruitment, excluding Bloodfall. Though Bloodfall is the primary planet of recruitment for the Chapter, Bloodfall is foremost a Death World and this causes issues with the number of Neophytes able to be taken from the planet. The primary planets in the Uhulis Sector that the Red Wolves use for recruitment are the Imperial planets of Rassios, Pintax, Macharia, Loriar, Athonos, Somonor, Calderia, Luther McIntyre, Ophelia and V'run. The majority of the recruits are from the Hive World Rassios, the Manufactorum World Pintax, the Death World Loriar and the Civilised Worlds of Athonos, Calderia and Somonor. The recruits from Bloodfall are characterised by their sharper, longer canine teeth, their long white hair and tanned skin. This is due to their genetics developing to deal with the tough skin of the Bisox, which is too tough for normal canine teeth. The recruits of Rassios feature pale skin and near white eyes. This is a result of the heavy toxicity of their atmosphere, this means the under Hive tends to be in near darkness, forcing the inhabitants' eyes to dull, but heightening their sense of smell and hearing. The recruits from Pintax share features of those from Terra, often becoming vehicle crewmen or Techmarines due to being raised with technology all around them. Somonor and Calderia are the two longest recruiting grounds for the Red Wolves, apart from Bloodfall, both having to be rescued from annihilation from enemy forces, Somonor from Hive Fleet Leviathan and Calderia from a Traitor uprising. The large range of planets used for recruitment by the Red Wolves helps to ensure peace is maintained in the Uhulis Sector, as well as a large number of skill traits from the different planet's cultures.

The other main life the Bisox, share similar looks to a bisonru, which dwelled on Terra in the Age of Man, and the Oxenru, also from the same period on Terra. The robust beasts have adapted to live in the harsh deserts of Bloodfall, moving around in search of the vegetation in it's secret areas. Around the base of the Bloodfalliens Hives sparse vegetation grows, the winter night-rains alongside the warm day-sun, allow this vegetation to grow. This draws the Bisox to the base of the Hives in the winter months. It is here the toughest Bloodfalliens excel, dashing from the hives with their lasguns and knives to hunt and kill the Bisox for fresh meat during the winter. The other food source for the Bloodfalliens is the hydroponic labs that thrive within the Hive Complexes. These hubs allow the majority of the food for the Bloodfalliens to be grown, the specialised foods and extra water being shipped in from nearby planets who have natural springs, or plentiful water.++DATA FOUND++

++RED WOLVES SPACE MARINE: GENERIC SCHEME. NO COMPANY DESIGNATION++
The Red Wolves have red armour, supported by a ebonite shoulder inset, their chest artistry is gold. This then changes dependant on Company and rank. Sergeants of a Tactical, Assault or Devastator squad retain their red helms, but feature white laurels on the helm. Veterans serving in, or who once served in the 1st Company have a white helm. Those Veterans who have moved to another Company from the 1st must take up the Company colours, excluding the helm. The Company colour is displayed on the right shoulder trim and on the left knee. The left knee also must display the Company number. The right shoulder inset should also display squad markings; for example, Tactical arrow. Squad number: II. Powerfists or similar weaponry should also be ebonite.>>NOTE: Apart from the aforementioned disparities, the Red Wolves follow the 'Codex Astartes' to the letter. Their doctrines are that of the Codex and to stray from the Codex is to stray from the Emperor and the Chapter. ++GENESEED++
++RECRUITMENT++
