Default Battle Sisters help

Very new to the game, first time posting even, but as I laborously begin to delve into the rules, army lists, paint, sickly green putty, and models, I'm really enjoying it in a 'learning something awesome' sort of way.

My question on tactics comes when designing a potential armylist. Most notably, the basic Troop choice and if 'filling' a squad is the most beneficial way to do it over, say, multiple smaller ones.

An example would be:
A. Three Squads of: 9 Battle Sisters w/ Heavy Flamer, Meltagun +1 Veteran w/ Book of St. Lucius
B. One Squad of: 19 Battle Sisters w/ Heavy Flamer, Meltagun +1 Veteran w/ Book of St. Lucius || and One Squad of 10 like in A.

Obviously the point costs are off, but you get my meaning. Multiple 10sister squads yeilds more Faith Points, gives me more opportunities to capture things (I think), and makes rolling over the number of sisters in a squad for certain acts of faith easier (but rolling under harder). It is more expensive, though, since it's that many more veterans and special guns. I could mount the little ones on rhinos which is a plus, but a tinier squad dies easier too.

Is this supposed to be a somewhat back and forth decision or is there accepted truths about unit sizes? I'm certain there are things I'm not taking into account seeing how new I am to the game, and I imagine it might also depend on points of the army (1500) and opponents too, but gimmie your wisdom regardless!

10 is pretty much the standard for sisters squads. The real strength of a SoB squad is their special weapons, so you want to max those out, then be done. Also like you said, it'll produce more faith points. Further, you're going to want to put them in as many rhinos as you can afford. Maybe have one larger sisters squad to stand back and defend your tanks or an objective, but that's optional.

Definitely go for more troop choices than you would normally go for in other armies as they are the strength of the SOBs. I miss my sisters. /sniff

One big squad for holding you home objective and 2 or so smaller squads for taking your opponents. When the large one takes casualties, it can be put in a rhino from one of the other squads if need be.

Its really hard to say.
Im always banging on about some squads and how I prefer them with less men, but it really comes down to personal preference.
What I say to you is, if you have the models play a few games and see what works for you. we cant judge how you play on here, but we can give you some different outlooks on things.
Personally I play the sisters in medium-ish squads 12 or 14 usually, I recently played a local tourny with Sisters and in my play testing I found this out.
Hope this Helps

peace out

On the internet, the men are men, the women are men and the children are FBI agents.

Thanks for the replies; all very useful information. I think I will go with the 10sister squads and see how that works out.

Okay, sounds good. Post up the whole army list in the Army Lists forum, see what other sort of help you can get
