Vulkan rides with the Terminators in the Land Raider giving me a very hefty assaulting unit, especially with the TH's being Master Crafter, plus I get Vulkans i5 s6 attacks in first, and his TL Heavy Flamer, plus the TL Multi-Melta from the LR:C, ooo lala.

The reason one of the Tactical Squads has a Drop Pod and not another Rhino is so that on Turn 1 I can land both Dreadnoughts using the Drop Pod Assault rule. Plus I have the added bonus of a scoring unit arriving later in the game perhaps in a crucial area. Both Ironclads Meltaguns and Heavy Flamers are TL thanks to Mr He'Stan. I've tried it a few times, once against a Daemons setup of 3 Plaguebearer units of 14 and 3 Daemon Princes, it did very well.

Hail,

Big hitters for sure in this army, but I think the 2 scoring units will be the Achilles' Heel. High mobility armies( Eldar & Dark Eldar) can race around to target the scoring units, forcing you to kill all the enemy units. Shooty armies with high str weapons (Lascannons, Railguns) will cut down the 2 Dreads, taking away 50% of your cc hitting power in the first turn, or they target the Crusader, immobilizing it or blow it up, and again you have a cc unit that has to walk at least 24" before dealing out any casualties.
Swarm armies (Orks, Tyrannids) can have 6 troops of 20-30 models which can bog down your 3 assaulting units. Your 2 troops can do very little in this regard to remedy the situation.
If your army is facing high price cc specialists like Daemons, Grey Knights etc. you have good chances of coming out a winner.

Imo, Dreadnaughts are cool, but reliance on them is a poor tactical choice, I fing too many armies with powerfists, powerklaws and melta type weapons, that can kill them easily. They also don't generate a lot of attacks for their point cost.

Good luck versus more balanced armies

Meh, at 1500 2 full tactical squads isn't that bad. It's a good list.
